Original Paintings

by Frieda Guercio

Paintings exploring the space between stillness and movement, light and becoming.

These works are part of my return to painting – layered, intuitive, and guided by color, energy, and place. Each piece unfolds slowly, revealing depth through process rather than force, responding to movement and shifting with the changing light.

Working primarily in watercolor and acrylic, I am fascinated by color’s ability to communicate beyond words. Many of these paintings explore what lies beneath life’s accumulated layers: the vitality, creativity, and light that remain present even when temporarily obscured. Through luminous color, intuitive marks, and evolving forms, I create work that invites reflection, curiosity, and a sense of possibility.
