Lit From Within was created during a watercolor workshop and marked the beginning of an unexpected new direction in my work. What started as an exploration of color, repetition, and mark-making became the spark for what would later evolve into the Particles of Light series.

Built through luminous layers and vibrant color relationships, the painting revealed something that continues to fascinate me: the idea that beneath life’s many experiences exists an enduring source of vitality, creativity, and light. L
